Policy

Compliance & GST

We trade as a registered Australian business and we set out our tax, safety and consumer law position in plain terms.

Business & tax details

  • Trading name: Tool Vault AU
  • ABN: 54 812 447 903
  • GST status: Registered for GST

All prices shown on this site are in Australian dollars and include GST at 10%. The GST component is shown on every pallet listing and itemised on your tax invoice, so a GST-registered buyer can claim the input tax credit where eligible.

Freight is quoted and invoiced separately per consignment. Any deposit paid is held against the specific pallet IDs named on your quote.

Electrical safety & RCM

Chargers and mains-powered tools supplied in Australia must meet the relevant electrical safety standards and carry the Regulatory Compliance Mark where applicable. We do not import grey-market mains equipment with foreign plugs for Australian sale. If a charger in a returns pallet is damaged or has a non-Australian plug, it is removed from the pallet rather than passed on.

Lithium battery handling and freight

  • Battery packs are inspected for swelling, casing damage and corrosion before palletising
  • Damaged cells are separated for recycling and never shipped
  • Consignments containing lithium-ion packs are declared and labelled to the carrier
  • Batteries are shipped within the state-of-charge limits carriers require

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in our terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law. Goods must match their description and manifest, and be of acceptable quality for the grade they were sold as. Grading a pallet as untested customer returns discloses its condition — it does not contract out of the law. Our refunds policy sets out how claims work.

Records we keep

  • Acquisition records naming the source and date of each consignment
  • Timestamped manifests and pre-dispatch photographs for every pallet ID
  • Tax invoices, consignment notes and proof of delivery
  • Quarantine and disposal records for rejected stock

Records are retained for seven years in line with Australian record-keeping requirements.
